Under the leadership of the senator Dr. Michael Freytag, the Urban Development and Environment Office is in charge of transport, construction, habitat, nature, and land use planning. Prof. Joachim Malecki, first construction director of the city of Hamburg is the leader of ecobuild shanghai 2006 on the Hamburg municipal level and represents the city in the frame of the project. The Hamburg Public Sewage Company HSE, part of Hamburg-Water-Group HW, is a cooperating partner of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.

The Construction and Transportation Commission of the Shanghai Municipality is the contract partner in the sister-city project ecobuild shanghai 2006. The implementation agreement on the Chinese side was signed by Sun Jianping, Vice Chairman of the Construction Commission.

ZEBAU is in charge of the coordination and implementation of ecobuild shanghai 2006. The general manager Dipl.-Ing. Architekt Peter-M. Friemert is the main coordinator of the project. Dr. Roland Winkler is the coordinator in China.

Shanghai Administration Office of Building Materials Development and Application

Under the roof of the Construction Commission, this office is in charge of the topic energy efficient building. In frame of ecobuild shanghai 2006, it co-ordinates the implementation on the Chinese side. Office leader Wang Bao Hai is the direct contact partner for the Hamburg side.

The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce Shanghai is the largest delegation office worldwide. Under the roof of the Deutschen Industrie und Handelstags (DIHK) are 110 delegations representing German Industry and Commerce abroad. Magali Menant from the Delegation is in charge of the Industry Cooperation and Marketing in the frame of ecobuild shanghai 2006.

HSE, a company of the Hamburg-Water-Group, HW, cooperates with the Urban Development and Environment Office of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. HW is in total responsible for the public water and wastewater infrastructure and operation of services of the Metropolitan Region of Hamburg, Germany with more than 2.0 million inhabitants. In the ecobuild shanghai 2006 project HSE is laying down the guidelines for Circular-Material-Flow-Management as well as the development and realisation of innovative Water-Infrastructure-Systems and energy saving technologies. The final goal is to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases as well as the emissions of eutrophic substances on a very high level. The engineers Dr. Zhiqiang Li and Ulf Rakelmann are the technical experts in charge of this kind of company' s China projects.

The Liaison Office represents in China the interest of the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, the Hamburg Business Development Corporation, the Port of Hamburg Marketing, and the Hamburg Tourism Board under the leadership of Lars Anke. Julia Dautel of the Hamburg Liaison Office is in charge of Promotion- und PR-Activities in the frame of ecobuild shanghai 2006.

The association aims at promoting energy efficient building in China. The Managing Director of the association, Dr. Roland Winkler, is also the owner of the company China Consulting Sinogy in Munich, co-ordinates the implementation of ecobuild shanghai 2006 in China. Christoph von Waldersee in Beijing is an assisting member of SINOBAU in China.

This association is specialised in organisation of building exhibitions and competitions for solar and ecological building. Horst Erichsen co-ordinates in Germany the marketing activities in the frame of ecobuild shanghai 2006.

This specialized architecture bureau for energy efficient building is in charge of the planning and architectural services for the project. The architects, Christine Reumschuessel and Thomas Dittert are known through their extensive work on new building, passive housing, as well as renovation projects.

The construction engineers Christoph Roggendorf and Kuno Schallenberg are experts for energy technical aspects and cooperate closely with the architects D+R.
